Why You’ll Love This: Music reviewing 101: Don’t disrespect the greats who have paved the way.  While I would never ever put a diss on Johnny Reznick and The Goo Goo Dolls, this cover of their 90’s classic is better than the original in every single way.  For those of you who haven’t met Holiday Parade yet, this Atlanta band is among the most talented that the majority of music fans - even underground music fans - haven’t heard of… yet.  Much of this comes from the smoother than butter vocals of lead singer Andy Albert who takes the song from cautious alternative wistfulness into the realm of adoring, longing love songs.  When covering a song, making it your own is one thing but to be able to essentially redo the song and make sound as superb as this, that is rare gift indeed.  Give this band a listen, I promise you won’t regret it. -TMB
