TMB Under The Radar Track Of The Day
Who: In Fear And Faith
Song: I Know You Know
San Diego has always been a great spawning point for great screamo and Rise band In Fear And Faith is another fine example of this paramount. While they have faced more line up changes than Dance Gavin Dance and Emarosa combined they have continued to challenge what alternative metal can do with the post-hardcore scene for over half a decade now. Check out this epic track from their 2010 album Imperial and try to stop yourself from head-banging away. -TMB

Lost No More
decoded
Who: decoded
Song: Lost No More
Why This Rocks: In its purest of forms, rock takes no prisoners and doesn’t pander to the merry-go-round of wimpish self loathing that so many people have come to think. decoded, a truly marvelous rock band from Los Angeles, CA, are a striking act that seeks to put back the purveying punishment into the rollicking roots of vintage rock and roll. Fusing rock with grunge and the most exponential aspects of alt-rock isn’t easy for any band to pull off but Decoded does it with thunderous precision.
Led by Derek Jordan, their striking rock hooks come courtesy of aged musical know how and the skilled expertise of renowned producer Davey Julson-Rieley, (Kill Hannah, Billy Corgan, Skillet). The influence of bands that Julson-Riele has worked with comes out clearly in theri sounds, each bar is crisp and dripping with the sweat of smoky mosh pit epicness. Accompanied by Sean Finn, this isn’t your average set of guys in a garage, these are skilled aggregates of awesomeness that are ready for the big leagues.
But rock is more than raising hell and creating a useless scene, its also about expression through specialized means. Their music involves the depiction of all the emotions that course through the human soul - poured with the amber of steady-handed guitars and thumping drums. Written to help those who need to find hope where there is none, the rocking fury is never lost throughout the stormy lines of courageous melody.
Decoded is a band that beckons to be listened to, You’d be a fool not to give them your ear.

Right Outside
Anthony Green
Midnight Mp3 - Anthony Green
Song: Right Outside Ft. Chino Moreno
Written By - Andrew
Why You’ll Love This: Simply put, this is a contender for my favorite Anthony Green song of all time. Right up there with Saosin’s Seven Years, not in sound but in class, this song has me enamored with music again. It is honestly as if my ears virginity were popped, love finding its way to my brain, my heart pumping morphine into my veins.
This song has an amazing sound, which seems to be a mix of Chino and Anthony influence. After hearing this song, I understood where it was that Anthony got his voice from, what inspired him and what he sang when he was younger, and that answer is Chino. Together, they make the sexiest song I’ve ever heard in my life. With a perfect set of frequencies, Chino taking the male tenor role, and Anthony that beautiful contralto role, we just see a meshing together that I wish lasted longer than 3 minutes.
If there is one song you download all year, make it this song. And if you can’t download it, I would seriously consider you messaging me so I can find a way to get you this song.

Solitary Never Sleeps
Make Phantoms
Midnight Mp3 - Make Phantoms
Song: Solitary Sleeps
For Fans Of: Arcade Fire, Death Cab For Cutie, Brendan Benson, Phoenix, Coldplay, Ryan Adams, Hurricane Bells
Written By - Randall
Why You’ll Love This: These days anyone can make music. With all the modern technology and the scourge known as autotune, it’s pretty darn easy to take a relatively small amound of talent and parlay that into a hit (see: Mike Posner, Taio Cruz, everyone with the word “Lil” in their name, etc.). But the danger of such musical types is that inevitably after the song fades to black all that’s left is the damaging quiet of emptiness.
Enter Make Phantoms, a passionate yet peaceful band from the heartland of Richmond, Virginia that has found a way to harness the pure emotion of this twisted life we lead. Hear me now and believe me later, this is the next great band in indie music.
Take the most haunting aspects of Death Cab For Cutie and fuse them with the most tempered grandiose elements of your favorite Coldplay song and what you’ll be left with is the paradoxical wonder of Make Phantoms’ sound. Comprised of 3 multi-faceted musicians, Barth T. Wooster, Mortimer Skarsgaard, and Alisander Borealis make up the simple-yet-outrageously-complicated sound that their prose excavates from the depths of the human soul. While there are certainly some sounds taken from other acts their entire feel is the unforseen triumph of independent music making.
Completely working from a perspective of DIY techincal developing, this is a band that defines the term “indie.” Their beats, every gorgeous vocal, and all the wonderful keyboarding is created solely by Make Phantoms. In an age where bands are so quick to lease out their precious artistic endeavors to whatever person will let them use their studio, this is far more than unique, that’s freaking badass. It is this individualistic dedication to standing alone that gives then so much of their distinguished creativity.
Their serene soul-chasing can be exceptionally heard in the resplendent, “Solitary Never Sleeps,” one of the most exquisite tunes you will hear anywhere. With such intricacy and a marvelous display of sublime, tempered rhythmic intonation; this is the type of music to listen to when the troubles of life are too much to handle as you fall asleep in bed each night. Yet, despite the calming vocals and angelic melodies there’s a dazzling amount of depth that this band produces, both lyrically and emotionally.
Here we’re hand in hand
Just tracing ‘round the ghosts to see them off
Wave goodbye, then laugh
Our newly scared selves to sleep alone
Together
Yes
Alone!
Pair lyrics that have this much wonder with the harmonizing waves of a smoky, enchanted rhythm and often times it feels like the soundtrack to the Aurora Borealis itself.
I know that up until now you’ve probably never heard of Make Phantoms. Unless you’re a dedicated music connoiseur from south of the Mason-Dixon line it’s unlikely you’ve been exposed to one of the best kept secrets in modern indie. But aren’t you tired of the music that does nothing but leave you empty inside? Do not be betrayed by the siren’s song of the sounds that pander to the lowest denominator; take some time to appreciate that which is worth appreciating. Music like the majesty of Make Phantoms is more than simple notation, it is the foundation of that which is life changing. They may be under the radar now but if they continue to push boundaries and challenge the perception of beautiful music I assure you that it won’t be that way for long.

Love You No Matter What
Anthony Green
Midnight Mp3 - Anthony Green
Song: Love You No Matter What
For Fans Of: Circa Survive, Tides Of Man, City And Colour, The Sound Of Animals Fighting, Good Old War,

Why You’ll Love This: If there’s one thing about Anthony Green, the musician, that I would say I love most, it would be his ability to pass through genre’s, making them his own as if he were the father and we are his children. Speaking of which, the majority of songs that have been released from him so far for his new album, Beautiful Things have involved his own child, James, and such a theme brings about a new kind of love amongst him that he tries vivaciously to personify throughout.
If there’s one thing about Anthony Green, the person, that I would say I love most, it would be his ability to just say exactly what it is he means. This is so blatant through this song as he sings lyrics like “And you’re shooting vomit fire all over the bed” and “And you’re shitting spiders all over the place.”
I’m no man of common sense, so I want children one day. This song only exemplifies any paternal nature in me. As a listener, there’s no place I’d rather be.
